Our Inspiring Beginning
GIRL LOVE ON YOU FOUNDATION is a Black woman-owned nonprofit organization born from personal experience. Starting as a Facebook group by a survivor, we understand that breast cancer impacts more than just the individual. It profoundly affects entire families and the dedicated caregivers who walk alongside them. We are here to provide the support, resources, and hope you need every step of the way.
Our Mission
We exist to inspire self-love, strength, and resilience to help those affected Fight, Heal, and Thrive.
Uplift, support, and empower women, families and caregivers affected by breast cancer. As a breast cancer survivor, I will create a safe and compassionate community that provides vital resources.

FOUNDER BIO
Clairessia B. Jackson Founder and CEO of GIRL LOVE ON YOU FOUNDATION was diagnosed with stage 2 Invasive Mammary Carcinoma breast cancer. April of 2025 Dr. Andrea Madrigrano of Rush University Cancer Center changed that perspective. May 22, 2025 I WON I BEAT BREAST CANCER.
The fight was by far the hardest thing I have ever endured. I was alone during most of my treatment. Attending visits to hear how to save your own life alone was devastating. No one advocated for me or with me, in my weak moments I had no one to hold my hand, rub my back or hug me. My family became proactive after my 1st surgery a double mastectomy.
From my lived experience I created GIRL LOVE ON YOU FOUNDATION. NOBODY SHOULD FIGHT ALONE. It's a heartbreaking feeling. I want to be the trend that starts my community to take health more seriously. I want to be that needed shoulder or ear. Our community needs more resources and more nudges to the doctors. GIRL LOVE ON YOU FOUNDATION IS THE FIX FOR NORTH LAWNDALE, EAST GARFIELD, AND AUSTIN AREAS WITH MORE TO FOLLOW. #FAITHOVERFEAR #SUPPORTMATTERS #GIRLLOVEONYOU
